Early access for runners with a valid UTMB Index begins October 26, 2026, at 10 a.m. Brasília time; general registration opens October 28. The 2027 event takes place September 23–26, with seven race distances and updated start times.

Registration for Paraty Brazil by UTMB 2027, the Brazilian event in the UTMB World Series, opens Monday, October 26, 2026, at 10 a.m. Brasília time. From September 23 to 26, 2027, runners will explore the Atlantic Forest, the Serra da Bocaina, and the cobblestone streets of Paraty’s historic center.
Registration opens in two stages. On October 26 and 27, early access is reserved for runners with a valid UTMB Index in any category. General registration opens October 28 at 10 a.m. Brasília time. Race-specific entry requirements still apply. Registration closes August 10, 2027, or when entries sell out.
A 2026 edition to remember
A total of 3,339 runners took to Paraty’s trails and streets. Among the highlights was the debut of PTR 17, which welcomed more than 500 runners in its first edition.
“Seeing more than 500 people at the start of the 17 km race in its very first edition showed us that a new generation is eager to discover trail running. We can feel that energy in Paraty, and we want to make even more room for it,” says Rafael Miranda, General Director of Paraty Brazil by UTMB.

NIGHT 10: Paraty after dark
The success of PTR 17 inspired the biggest addition for 2027. PTR 17 stays on the program and welcomes a new companion: NIGHT 10, a 10 km race with 270 m of elevation gain. Starting at Fazenda Bananal on September 25 at 7 p.m., it finishes in the historic center. The time limit is three hours, and a headlamp is mandatory.
NIGHT 10 offers another option for runners who prefer shorter distances and want to experience a night race. Runners should consider their preparation for the terrain and navigating after dark. A headlamp is part of the mandatory gear.
“NIGHT 10 offers a new way to experience Paraty: leaving Fazenda Bananal as night falls and finishing in the historic center. We want to give runners who prefer shorter distances more options, with the care and preparation a night race requires,” says Rafael Miranda.

Seven distances, one destination
From the 7 km RUN 7 to the 101 km PTR 100, the program offers options for different stages of a runner’s journey. PTR 100 requires a valid UTMB Index in the 50K category, while PTR 55 requires one in the 20K category. The other distances do not require an Index for general registration.
