Check the basic kit and recommended items for your race. Bring the cold- and hot-weather kits to Paraty too: they may be required during event week, depending on the weather.
Basic kit · mandatory
Carry your mandatory kit throughout the race.
Bottles and flasks with lids are not accepted as a substitute for a cup.
Install and activate the app. International roaming must allow use in Brazil. You must be reachable before, during, and after the race. Keep your phone on: airplane mode is prohibited and may result in penalties. A power bank is strongly recommended.
Minimum water supply for the basic kit.
Waterproof, breathable membrane (for example, OutDry). Recommended ratings: at least 10,000 Schmerber and RET below 13. The hood must be integrated or attached using the manufacturer’s original system. Seams must be sealed, with no non-waterproof fabric panels. Factory vents at the underarms or back are accepted as long as they do not noticeably compromise waterproofing. Athletes must assess whether the jacket meets the rules and is suitable for bad mountain weather. The race director has the final say during inspection. For this race, a windproof jacket is also accepted in the basic kit. This alternative does not apply to the cold-weather kit.
Reflective emergency blanket measuring at least 1.40 m × 2 m.
For use as a bandage or support wrap. Minimum dimensions: 100 cm × 6 cm.
Recommended: at least 1 gel or bar per estimated hour of racing.

Words from those who lived it:
Tadna Dias – 6th Place, 25km (2025)
“What stands out to me most about Paraty is the atmosphere of the arena and the event itself. If you arrive early, you can feel the community breathing the same passion for trail running.
The start is beautiful. Throughout the race, the course is diverse: an initial stretch on asphalt, then trails, dirt roads, single track, and even a river crossing. It’s not overly technical, which makes it ideal for those starting in trail running or looking to step up in distance.
It’s a joyful race to run — one I always recommend to anyone wanting to experience their first great moment in trail.”
